The backplate is 4.5IN wide x 3.5IN tall x 1.25IN deep, and holds (4) ‘C’ batteries (not included). The BTLED24-51 comes one per package, and provides 3000K 30,000-hour highly energy efficient LED illumination-approximately the equivalent of 25W incandescent-using only 3.2W of energy. This picture light is battery operated with approx. 36-48 hours of life, and turned on/off by the switch on the backplate. LEDs are free of infra-red or ultra-violet rays, are cool to the touch, and will not damage those special objects showcased under these lights.
